Joseph's counselling career began with his interest in the study of human condition and ways to assist people to create the lives they wanted to lead.

He started his work in the helping profession as an intuitive counsellor and eventually transitioned to a trained counsellor and psychotherapist practising his own style of psychotherapy Intuition-Enhanced Psychotherapy (IEP).

Joseph's long career in the field of counselling and psychotherapy included:

Currently, Joseph divides his time between his private practice, providing clinical supervision to new counsellors and lending his support to the work of his professional organization - Canadian Professional Counselling Association.

Evolution

Joseph's life-long quest for knowledge included formal and informal studies of intuition, theology, spirituality and counselling psychology and psychotherapy.

Joseph began his formal studies of counselling psychology with the Vancouver College of Counsellor Training. Subsequently, he has taken a number of courses and workshops in various theories and praxis of counselling science.

In most recent years, Joseph has concentrated on the study of psychoanalytic theory and practice and has been taking courses with the Western Branch of the Canadian Psychoanalytic Society.

Joseph's favourite modes of self-expression are writing and public speaking. Over the years, he has written a number of articles that have been published in on-line and in-print publications and has made a number of TV and radio appearances.

Currently, the topics of particular interest involve the use of intuition for personal development and growth and the role of consciousness and the unconscious in our sense of well-being.

Joseph has been interviewed by BBC Persia on Intuition-Enhanced Psychotherapy and has presented at several professional conferences in Western Canada.

Joseph's on-going blog is dedicated to the explorations on intuition, mind, mental health and well-being, while his book Simply Spirit: A Personal Guide to Spiritual Clarity, One Insight at a Time serves as an example of intuitive insights manifesting themselves spontaneously.
